This is a personal project exploring the Johnny Appleseed history in Leominster, Massachusetts. I live in a nearby town and enjoyed attending the 2024 anniversary events in Leominster. I wanted to keep learning more and as I did, I put together this collection featuring news articles and quotes from along Appleseed's travels, including in Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I also included news articles from 1948, when Leominster hosted the region's Apple Blossom Festival just a few weeks before Walt Disney released its Melody Time animation.
